Getting down to business over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez partook in a music video shoot set in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (August 20).

The "American Idol" judge got in dancin' spirits as she churned out material for her upcoming visual accompaniment to her single "Papi".

According to a source on hand, "[Lopez] was getting cart wheeled on top of a crowd of professional dancers who helped her make the flips through the crowd and eventually into the waiting arms of a handsome man in a Military uniform."

Tweeting about the ambitious weekend efforts, Lopez wrote, "1st day of my new video #staytuned”

Capping off a busy weekend of performance efforts, Rihanna was back in the spotlight at the UK's 2011 V Festival on Sunday night (August 21).

The 23-year-old chart-topping singer took over the Hylands Park stage in Chelmsford, once again joining fellow act Eminem as the main attractions of the evening.

Clad in a cute denim top with black short-shorts and fishnet stockings, RiRi once again offered up a full slate of her hits including "S&M," "Hard," "California King Bed" and "Man Down".

Following tonight's show, Rihanna gets a much-deserved month off from touring before heading back out on her worldwide Loud efforts beginning in São Paulo, Brazil on September 17th.

Taking the stage to the elation of the thousands of concertgoers in attendance, Rihanna performed the first of her two-day run at the UK's 2011 V Festival on Saturday night (August 20).

The "Hard" singer livened things up while front and center on the Weston Park stage in South Staffordshire, joining fellow act Eminem as the top-bill attractions of the evening.

The Barbadian beauty didn't disappoint as she churned out the hits while offering up sizzling renditions of tunes such as "S&M," "Cheers (Drink to That)," "California King Bed" and "Man Down" while also teaming up with Eminem for their chart-topping collaboration "Love the Way You Lie".

Following tonight's show, Rihanna is set to do her thing once again on Sunday night (August 21) - as she will be taking over at the Hylands Park stage in Chelmsford to cap off the annual music extravaganza.

Much to her fans’ delight, Lady Gagareleased her brand spanking new video for “You and I” and she’s not afraid to talk about the questionable subject matter.

Case in point- she get transformed into a mermaid called Yuyi by her mad scientist lover, and they simulate sex, even though it’s anatomically impossible.

Gaga explained the point behind the scene- “Well, that’s actually part of what the metaphor is- you can’t [have sex with a mermaid].”

She continued, "Sometimes in love, you can't make it work. No matter what you do, there's this giant boundary between you and someone else. So that's what it's about, perceiving in your imagination that there's something magical inside of you that you can make it work."

"For me, it was all about capturing the true spirit of the song, which is when you're in love, you'll be willing to walk and do the craziest and most inconvenient things you can possibly imagine. The video is quite complex in the way that the story is told, and it's meant to be slightly linear and slightly twisted and confusing, which is the way that love is."
